The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (OVRS) helps people with disabilities find careers that match their skills, interests, and abilities. You qualify for services if you have a mental or physical disability and it prevents you from getting or keeping a job, or you need services that only OVRS can provide to help you get or keep a job.

Services are specific to the needs of each person and may include:

• Counseling and guidance to help you select a job goal
  
• Evaluations to determine your job skills and interests
  
• Training or education, if needed, to qualify for a job
  
• Assistance with transportation to training or job sites
  
• Special equipment or technologies that may help you hold a job
  
• On-the-job training, job search assistance, and job interview skills to help you get and keep a job
  
• Job placement and follow-up services

If you are a young adult with a disability and are nearing graduation, talk with your school counselor about OVRS. If you are out of school, contact the nearest Vocational Rehabilitation office for help evaluating your interests, abilities, and employment goals and help planning how to get there. People receive program services until they reach their employment goals.

Oregon's Disability Program Navigators offer hands-on, one-on-one services to help workers with disabilities access employment opportunities and services available through the public workforce investment system. Oregon has seven Navigator positions around the state to help people with disabilities access and navigate the programs that affect their ability to find, return to, or keep jobs. They also develop connections and collaborate with employers to ease job placement and retention for people with disabilities.
