The summer season has come to the Mid-Willamette Valley. Agriculture is one sector that adds significant seasonal employment in the summer months. Agricultural employment typically hits its annual peak in July.

Nonfarm employment typically declines slightly in the summer months. Sectors such as construction have seasonal hiring that boosts private sector employment in the summer months.
