Recent Trends As summer returns to the Rogue Valley, unemployment rates usually continue to retrench from their seasonal, winter peaks. But this deep recession has pushed those rates to levels not seen since late 1982 or early 1983. Rates dipped slightly in the past six months, but remain at historically high levels.
