Recent Trends Summertime in Central Oregon has typically meant more jobs and therefore more hiring. This summer two counties: Crook and Jefferson, appear to be following seasonal hiring trends adding employment each month. But even with the additional employment, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remains high in both places.
