Recent Trends Fall has arrived on the high desert. School is back in session and, after working very hard through the summer months, irrigation systems will get a few months of rest as crops are harvested and hay is cut.
Unemployment is typically lowest in the summer in the three counties in Central Oregon. But fall brings an end to the popular summer tourist season and to the majority of work on roads, buildings, lawns and in the forests.
