The winter is typically a time of employment loss in Klamath and Lake Counties. This year the region lost fewer jobs than it lost last year during the same four month period (November -February); however, the losses were widespread this winter. The region added retail employment over the holiday season but, as is typical, the retail sector lost employment in both January and February.
