It's fall in the Morrow-Umatilla Region, public schools are back in session, the world-renowned Pendleton Roundup has returned and a wide variety of crops are being harvested. Unemployment levels fall to annual lows during September and October, reflecting agricultural harvests and the need for seasonal workers in value-added food manufacturing. Leisure and hospitality reaches its peak with the return of the Pendleton Round-up in mid-September and outdoor activities like hunting and fishing.
