Region 13
Overview
Region 13Situated in the far northeastern corner of Oregon, Region 13 contains some of the state's most formidable geography. Several local mountain peaks exceed 9,000 feet in elevation. At the other extreme, one of the deepest canyons in North America -- Hells Canyon -- cuts through the eastern edge of this region along the course of the Snake River. The more populated valleys of the region are found in the 2,500- to 4,000-foot elevation range.
