Teach for America – Be on the Front Lines of ChangeNovember 21, 2016 Are you passionate about education? Do you like to teach and help children have better academic outcomes? Then be part of Teach for America, a nonprofit organization that recruits college graduates to serve as teachers.
Members teach for two years in one of the 53 low-income communities in the U.S. They earn a salary from $24,000 to $55,000 depending on where they teach. Members may be eligible for:
- Education awards up to $5,730
- Loan forbearance
- Tuition funding or scholarships for graduate school at selected U.S. colleges
- Fellowships in the U.S. Congress, Rural School Leadership Academy, and the School Systems Leaders
- Discounts for technology, clothing, classroom materials and travel at selected retailers, and much more.
